Allons ‘y
What will we do here at the end of the World
Where the water splashes
The gulls cry and memories wash through?
To sing, smile and cry along . . .
Yes, let’s go.
New Worlds await with new songs, laughter,
Love, loss, pain and ecstasy.
Bring on the new barrage
Let it relieve the nagging of the past.
Yes, let’s go.
Dashing into the waves
Running like valiant steeds
Break again and again
Collision, immersion, thrown back on the beach.
Yes, let’s go.

Hey! I like the feeling in the poem! Nice!
Why thank you!! I love the imagery it provides. It is about moving forward with glee, innocence and energy. Rushing to meet our continually renewing life and freeing ourselves from what might be termed emotional baggage that we’ve somehow found ourselves accumulating.
Beautiful, clean, crisp piece…just like the waves pouring over us in word. Lovely optimism. Thank you for sharing
Refreshing!!!
Keep writing. I enjoyed this.
